Fun, Free Word Games Online With Club Bing

I’m one of those internet game junkies who spend any down time I have, which isn’t much these days, playing internet games. I can’t quite shut my mind off long enough to be able to focus on nothing, so I have to find my mind something to do, even when the rest of me has shut down. While some will read a good book, I choose to play games on the internet. I was hooked on the most mindless Facebook games for a while—Pirates, Farmville and the like, but I decided that rather than push a button repeatedly, it’s much better to challenge myself a bit and find some games that actually exercise my brain. Enter Club Bing.

Club Bing gives its members a great opportunity to earn tickets that can be redeemed for rewards. Earning tickets on Club Bing is easy and fun. All you have to do is play games, download their tool bar and use it when you search the internet. In return, you get tickets from Bing which you can then redeem for rewards like frequent flyer miles. You can become a V.I.P. member and be entitled to exclusive rewards and discounts by taking your membership one step further and set Bing as your default search engine. Considering Bing is Microsoft’s version of Google, you can be assured it isn’t a scam.

Club Bing has several free games available.  I’ve become particularly fond of Chicktionary.  You attempt to fill the egg carton by typing or clicking letters and spelling words.  Use your Bing Search hints, and reshuffle those pesky hens; otherwise, you might lay an egg.  The more words you make, the better your score.  If you’ve ever played on Pogo.com, Chicktionary is very similar to Word Whomp.  On the word game addiction scale, I’ll give it a 10. 

Word Duel is a new game to Club Bing and it also scores a 10 on the word game addiction scale.  In this game, you can either pick an opponent, or compete in a 4 person tournament.  The goal is to see who can pick a group of letters and form the most words.  Forming larger words and using less common letters earn you maximum points.  There are seven rounds in all for you to claim your spot as the best word-slinger in Wild West. 

If you’re a crossword puzzle fan, Flexicon might be the game choice for you.  Earning an 9 on the word game addiction scale, Flexicon offers a unique crossword challenge with four overlapping crossword grids.  You can only solve one grid at a time, but you are solving for one long answer, the Flexicon," that stretches across all four grids of the finished puzzle.  Flexicon is great when you want to play a challenging word game, but on your own and at your own pace.
